BJCK was formed in 2015 by a group of teachers and professionals to deliver free education to children of the working poor in Chow Kit. The concept is to go where the children are or where there is a need to provide literacy. The proposal for the initiative arises a huge number of children living in Chow Kit would play by the roadside or loiter about after school as they await their parents. There are approximately 74 children from 45 families who attend the weekly session. 69% are pre-schoolers and they would be assisted with daily learning to cope with school curriculars and excel in their studies.
Volunteers of BJCK are professionals, teachers, university or college students and local community while the children originate from families of different races. The ‘Fusion” between the two is what establishes BJCK. Simillarly, the aim of origami[paper folding] is to transform a flat paper into a sculpture [3-dimensional] though multiple folding and sculpting. The repetitive and sometimes irregular folds or layering and angular characteristics of origami best represents the collaboration of various communities to form BJCK.

The concept is fusion, and we are using Japanese Origami to represent it. Where inspired to using fusion to become a concept is, It actually inspired by the surrounding of the buildings, Chow Kit is a place that mix with rural and city. You can see the KL Tower is not far away and also a lot of old street there. The most important is: Malaysia is a country that mix with a lot of culture, that's why fusion comes from.

There will be a huge study area with kitchen, resting area, and teacher offices. When you get into the space, first you can see what's the image showing. There is a study area in the upper stage at the left side, for the right side included kitchen and a space for putting bookshelf.
